Description:
Vasanta College for Women is one of the oldest higher education institutes for women in India. It is a prominent higher educational institution, established by Dr Annie Besant in the year 1913 with the aim of delivering quality higher education to the women community. The college is located amid salubrious environment on the banks of holy River Ganges in the cultural city Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Vasanta College for Women is managed by Krishnamurti Foundation India (KFI) and offers undergraduate, postgraduate courses in regular streams. Also, it conducts various diploma and certificate courses in professional streams. The college is affiliated to Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility:
Undergraduate:BA: Candidates who have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized Board / College are eligible to apply. In addition, they have to appear in All India Entrance Test, conducted by BHU. B Com: Applicants must pass 10+2 or any other equivalent examination in commerce stream from a recognized Board / College. In addition, they have to appear in All India Entrance Test, conducted by BHU. B Ed: Bachelor or master degree holders from a recognized University / College are eligible to apply. However, they have to appear in the University’s entrance test. Diploma: Candidates who have cleared 10+2 or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board / College are eligible to apply. Post Graduate: MA: Those who have passed bachelor degree examination in any stream from a recognized University / College are eligible to apply. However, they should appear in PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test), conducted by BHU. M Com: Candidates who have passed B Com or any other equivalent examination from a recognized University / College are eligible to apply. However, they should appear in PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test), conducted by BHU. M Ed: Candidates who have attained B Ed degree course from a recognized University / College are eligible to apply.
